La prima pagina del quotidiano Il Polesine fascista del 16 settembre 1936 (anno XIV dell’Era Fascista). Il giornale fu fondato nel 1933 e riproponeva notizie di carattere nazionale, utili alla propaganda del partito fascista.
In prima pagina è evidente la polemica contro l’Unione Sovietica («La crociata contro il bolscevismo», «Hitler propone alla Francia l’abbandono del patto sovietico») e l’esaltazione della figura di Mussolini. Il motto, sopra alla testata, non a caso recita: «Col Duce nel lavoro e nella lotta».
Curioso notare, in alto a destra, i numeri di telefono della redazione, composti da appena due o tre cifre (peraltro i numeri più recenti arrivavano al 260); segno che gli apparecchi telefonici in città e in provincia erano davvero pochi.

The controversy against the Soviet Union is evident on the front page (“The crusade against Bolshevism”, “Hitler proposes to France the abandonment of the Soviet pact”), as well as the exaltation of the figure of Mussolini. Not surprisingly, the motto above the headboard reads: “With the Duce in work and struggle”.
Curious to note, at the top right, the telephone numbers of the editorial staff, consisting of just two or three digits (however the most recent number reached 260); a sign that there were very few telephone sets in the city and in the province of Rovigo.
