La Torre Donà deve il suo nome alla famiglia proprietaria dell’immobile nel 1598 ed è la più alta d’Italia nel suo genere con gli oltre 51 metri. L’altra è la Torre Grimani il cui nome deriva dai proprietari successivi alla famiglia Donà dalla metà dell’800 ed è detta anche Torre mozza. Entrambe queste due torri facevano parte della cinta muraria che delimitava la città di Rovigo.

The Donà Tower owes its name to the family that owned it in 1598 and it is the highest of its kind in Italy with over 51 meters. The other is the Grimani Tower, whose name derives from the owners following the Donà family from the mid-1800s and is also known as the towered off tower. Both of these two towers were part of the walls that delimited the city of Rovigo.
