Macchina fotografica istantanea Polaroid OneStep 600 Rainbow senza flash, probabilmente della seconda metà degli anni ’80. La macchina è mirrorless, quindi la lente al centro è l’obiettivo vero e proprio della macchina, quella a destra è l’obiettivo del mirino. In basso si intravede la fessura per l’uscita delle istantanee.
Le fotocamere di questo tipo permettevano di ottenere direttamente il positivo in pochi secondi o minuti, evitando il passaggio per il negativo e lo sviluppo in camera oscura.
I lati negativi erano la ridotta capacità del caricatore (10 pose), l’impossibilità di fare copie o ingrandimenti causa l’assenza del negativo e il prezzo elevato.
Le Polaroid ebbero comunque una larga diffusione tra il pubblico e anche in campo artistico, tra cui il famoso fotografo pop-art David Hockney.

This tipe of camera allowed to obtain the positive picture directly in a fiew seconds or minutes, without having to make the negative and the darkroom development.
The downsides were the reduced magazine capacity (10 shots), the impossibility to make copies or magnifications because the absence of the negative and higher prices.
However, the Polarois got a large spread between the public and also in the artistic field, such as the famous pop-art photographer David Hockney.
